EBCF is not your high school. And we’re not like other gyms, either.
We don’t like drama, cliques, or judgment.
I had a pretty good time in high school. I wasn’t a great athlete, but playing football got me into weight lifting.
Lifting weights changed my life. I was good at it. I did it for years. As I was always looking for ways to push myself a teammate on my flag football team told me about this new gym he went. I went and for the first time was introduced to CrossFit. From that point on, training went from something I liked to something I LOVED. From there, I immersed myself in all things I could CrossFit, learning and training as much as I could.
Years later, I founded EBCF to share that same gift with others.
We believe that exercise is a celebration of what your body can do. It isn’t a consequence of letting loose this past weekend.
You have to find something you love (maybe that’s CrossFit, maybe it’s Zumba) —and celebrate success—before you’ll ever be motivated to work out and/or eat properly.
We believe in progress, not perfection.
We believe in coaching.
And we believe in making sure you’re here again tomorrow.
Have there been “gym jerks” along the way? Of course! But since I own the gym, I can keep them out of EBCF. The “we’re-better-than-everyone” garbage won’t work here.
That means EBCF will never be the biggest gym in town, not even close. It means we’ll probably never have one of our athletes win the CrossFit Games. But we’ll always be the best because of the people under our roof.
