… Start by making small changes, one at a time.

In 2003, Sir Dave Brailsford took over the British Cycling Team. He wasn’t a professional coach, in fact he’d only been an amateur rider

Instead of trying to reinvent the wheel, Brailsford used a business strategy called “The Aggregation of Marginal Gains.”  Simply put, the goal was to improve each aspect of his teams lives (training, nutrition, sleep, equipment, etc) by 1%.  And when that 1% gain was realized in any one area, he asked “how do I improve by another 1%?”

In 2008, the British Cycling team won 8 golds, 4 silvers, and 2 bronze.  More medals than in its entire cycling history combined.  Two members of the team also won the Tour de France four times combined over the next decade.

The process WORKS

You don’t need to eliminate all sugar from your life or complete a “detox” (for the love please don’t waste your time). Starting doesn’t have to be running 10 miles every morning. Just to take the first step and once that’s done, focus on the next.

Many of us are still at home daily.  It’s real easy to let our nutrition slip.  Everyone’s IG feed is full of tasty treats (am I right?).  However, that doesn’t mean you need to start counting macros.  Maybe just start by writing down everything you consume.  The MyFitnessPal app even makes this easy.  Just this simple step can make you think before you choose what to eat (that may sound crazy, but trust me, this simple step can be a game changer).  Want to go the next 1%, share the log with your Coach.

Maybe your nutrition is on point.  Getting into a consistent rhythm of working out is.  Maybe you only make it into the gym twice a week.  Maybe set a goal of doing 50 Push Ups a day (space it out throughout the day).  Nail that and maybe bump up to 75 or add 100 Squats to the daily routine.  But again conquer 1% at a time, so focus on the 50 Push Ups before you worry about what to add.

Find a Coach

Finding a Coach can be a game-changer.  You just have to show up, they’ll tell you what to do and they’ll make sure on how to appropriately start you and build you up.

Think about.  We can help, click the link below and book your Free Intro.  The first 1% can be just having that initial conversation.  What do you have to lose?

Just think if you improved 1% every day in some aspect, you’ll be multiple magnitudes better in short order.
